When you join a team in any context, you should examine who you are teaming up with. We do it in grade school, high school, marriage, business, and more. Surely we look at potential team mates to determine present and past success, goals, temperament, and other worthy traits. We would like to know if our efforts will be reasonably rewarded, that the team is headed toward the same goals we believe are proper, and the proper rules followed to achieve the goals.
Below I have listed in two columns the supporters for two methods of dealing with a runaway government. I'm sure there must be more, but this is what I have found so far.
And I feel positive about the qualities and goals of the vast majority listed in the Convention of States to Amend column, but the Nullification column gives me pause.
There are three main groups in the Nullification column. Numerically, the Eagle Forum and John Birch Society appear have about 100,000 members in rounded numbers each. And about 66 million voted for Barrack Hussein Obama in 2012. That means that if you are with Eagle Forum or JBS and you are standing with the Nullification team, you are outnumbered by the Democrat voter about 330 to 1. And the goals of the Democrats surely are not the same as the COS supporters. I also presume that the goals of the Democrats are not the same as the Eagle Forum and JBS.
Does it not occur to these folks that the vast majority of their team has different goals and is surely headed in a different direction? Why to they not question their premises and effort given those facts? What goes through their minds given this and the facts and premises of the COS column? Do they think their relatively small numbers, swamped by the Democrats, will have any positive impact?
Do any of them think to themselves for a minute, maybe, just maybe, I've got something wrong? Do they think for just a minute, that this multitude of Democrat progressives have NOT done their homework? [ Checking the Opposition to Liberty ]
